Watford Loses Against Burnley but Sarr And Welbeck Gives Them Hope

Watford has left out the opportunity to stabilize their points with the loss to Burnley on Thursday. They are only a point ahead of the relegation stage and every match remains important to them. On Saturday, they will be facing Southampton and they will need to win this match. They have been more promising the West Ham and Bournemouth in this season.

West Ham and Bournemouth have suffered defeats in this season and Aston Villa has ended up with a tie against Newcastle and a loss against Wolves. The match against Southampton is important to Watford as it gives them a chance to be ahead of other clubs and from the relegation zone.

Watford in the first half of the game lacked control and in the second half of the game,Watford was dominating in the field. In several occasions, they seemed threatening but they couldn’t find a goal in the match against the opposition.
James Rodriguez scored in the second half and it was the only goal of the match which led to the victory of Burnley. The goal was scored through a header which came from the pass of McNeil.
Watford assistant coach Craig Shakespeare has said about the development of Danny Welbeck. The former Arsenal player was in the sidelines from October and Craig said that the period of lockdown has given him the opportunity to recover well and fast.
Even though Welbeck was a little down in the second half it offers hope that he still has the energy to play full time on the pitch. The manager is expecting Welbeck to step up on the position of Roberto Pereyra and Gerard Deulofeu on the left side of the pitch. Besides Welbeck, there is Ismaila Sarr who can be a threat to other teams if he reaches the full potential.
