WELBECK REVEALS SIR ALEX FERGUSON BOND

Brighton & Hove Albion striker Danny Welbeck has disclosed that he's still in touch with legendary Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson. Danny Welbeck said that he's in communication with his former manager at Old Trafford during one of his recent interviews as monitored by theargus.co.uk. According to him, Sir Alex Ferguson is very good at giving advices and that his bond with him is still strong despite the fact that it's been seven years since he last played under him.Danny Welbeck was a Manchester United player till 2014 when he was sold to Arsenal in a £16m deal having been declared surplus to requirements by the newly appointed Louis Van Gaal.


Sir Alex Ferguson was responsible for giving Danny Welbeck his professional debut at Manchester United in 2008 having graduated from the club's Academy. He won the majority of his trophies while Ferguson was the Manchester United boss. His managerial career at Old Trafford ended at the end of the 2012/13 campaign as he resigned from the job to take a well deserved rest. Sir Alex Ferguson is a director on the current Manchester United board.

Under the guidance of Sir Alex, Danny Welbeck won the 2012/13 Premier League trophy. It was the final piece of silverware picked up by Sir Alex Ferguson before his retirement. He also won two League Cup titles during the 2008/09 and the 2009/10 seasons. Danny Welbeck was part of the Manchester United squad that won the 2008 FIFA Club World Cup.Welbeck won the 2013 Community Shield too but that was under David Moyes who replaced Ferguson immediately after his retirement.
Danny Welbeck signed for Brighton on a free transfer in October having been released by Watford at the end of last season. He has scored one goal in five appearances for the Seagulls.
