SANCHEZ GRABS BRACE AS ARSENAL WIN

Arsenal defeated Premier League rival Bournemouth on Sunday courtesy of Alexis Sanchez’s brace.

The Chile international got goals early in the game and late in the duel that saw Arsenal move to third place again.

Arsenal ended their November nightmare on a good note with the victory, winning two games and playing a draw in three. November has always been a tough time for Arsenal, but they did their better this term. The Gunners would round off the month with a League Cup clash with Southampton on Wednesday, 30th.

Sanchez was the Man of the Match with his two goals and a strike hitting the post being some of the most valuable contributions. The former Barcelona star scored in the 12th minute as he rounded the visitor’s goalkeeper. Not too long, the visitors equalized as Callum Wilson converted a penalty kick. Nacho Montreal caused yet another penalty as he ran across Wilson, leaving his teammates fuming with the referee’s decisions.

Bournemouth were close to getting the lead two minutes after the equalizer but the ball went over the bar. In the added time of the first half, Sanchez received a pass from Swiss player Granit Xhaka but his stunning strike is denied by the framework. After the recess, Arsenal go up through Theo Walcott in the 53rd minute. The visitors shouted for a penalty after a pass into the box hit Montreal on the arm but the referee discounts it.

Sanchez got the third for the hosts as he taps in from an Olivier Giroud pass. Danny Welbeck and Jack Wilshere were pictured messing around in the stands as Arsenal celebrated their win. A victory against The Saints would be a decent result in November, but Ronald Koeman’s side would not be easy to push out.
