Danny Welbeck Moderate Success

Danny Welbeck has been a moderate success since his £16 million move from Manchester United in the summer.

The absence of Olivier Giroud has meant that Welbeck has been the default choice for the striker’s role at Arsenal. This has seen him make 11 appearances in the league for the gunners. He recently scored his third league goal of the campaign in the 1-0 win over West Brom. Despite this, he was left out of the starting line-up against Stoke City. Arsenal endured another disappointing visit to the Britannia stadium after suffering a 3-2 defeat.

Van Gaal Explains Welbeck Departure

Danny Welbeck remained as a player of Manchester United for 6 seasons but the Englishman failed on establishing himself as a priority choice player for the Premier League club and was eventually sold to Arsenal on a €16 million deal.

When the transfer was completed managers around Europe started to express just how surprised they were about the transfer as Manchester United sold a promising young player to one of their nearest rivals which is Arsenal.

Welbeck Set For Real Madrid

Real Madrid have managed to emerge as a surprise destination for Manchester United striker Danny Welbeck, who has been heavily linked with a move away from the club in the last few weeks. Despite starting in most of the matches last season, Welbeck is understood to be unhappy at United. He has largely been used widely left, which he fears is not his natural position. The competition for places at Manchester United is intense especially in the striker department due to the presence of Robin van Persie and Wayne Rooney.

Martinez Denies Rumors Of Welbeck Move

Everton manager Roberto Martinez says that the rumours linking his club with moves for Manchester United duo Tom Cleverley and Danny Welbeck are extremely untrue. However, he has admitted that the club already has a number of transfer targets in mind in order to build on for next campaign. This has been a great debut season for Martinez at Everton, as he has been able to take the club close to the fringes of top four. Everton remain one point behind Arsenal with three matches left.

SHINJI BACKED

Danny Welbeck has said that Shinji Kagawa was the main reason why Manchester United managed to end their losing streak last weekend.

The Red Devils got better of Swansea City on Saturday to secure their 11th league win of the season. They had lost 3 matches on the trot before that game and had been receiving a lot of criticism, but, they came up with an inspired performance and won by a profound margin to stay in the hunt for the league title.

MAKING AN IMPACT

Since the arrival of David Moyes to Manchester United, complaints were made mostly by the players themselves as they insist on saying that the Scottish coach has implemented a tough training regime.

With the injury that that Dutchman Robin van Persie picked up some weeks ago, this has given the chance for Welbeck to step it up and claim a spot into the starting lineup of David Moyes. The English striker managed to score twice during Manchester United’s 3-0 victory against Aston Villa.

WELBECK HAPPY

Danny Welbeck has said that he is very happy with the way things went for England in their penultimate World Cup qualifying game against Montenegro which was played at the Wembley Stadium yesterday.

England won that game by a big margin of 4-1 and maintained its first position in the Group H points table. Now, the Three Lions are just one victory away from securing their place in the finals. They will take on Poland at the same venue on Tuesday.

Moyes outlines confidence in Danny Welbeck

New Manchester United manager David Moyes has revealed he has had a heart to heart talk with striker Danny Welbeck as he looks to build up the England international’s confidence in front of goal once again.

Welbeck scored just two goals for Sir Alex Ferguson’s side last season and he hasn’t looked completely sharp during the club’s pre-season tour of Asia and Australia as well. And Moyes had outlined this week that he had a chat with the player and assured him that he has confidence in him and will be backing him to get his goal scoring touch back.

MOYES STARTS

David Moyes will officially start working as Manchester United boss from tomorrow and the first thing which he will have to deal with is Wayne Rooney Saga.

Rooney’s relationship with the former United manager Sir Alex Ferguson had soured in the second half of the last season and at the end of the season, Rooney had handed a transfer request to the club officials.

However, there have been reports that the 27 years old striker is looking to make a fresh start under the new manager Moyes who had managed him at Everton too.

SACK SURPRISES FERGIE

Reading recently sacked their manager Brian McDermott in the hope of achieving Premier league safety in the remaining nine league games of the season, but the Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson does not understand the timing of this sacking.

It has been proven on several occasions that sacking of manager with such few games remaining in the season has not had the desired effect in the past. However, the Premier league strugglers have decided to go ahead with the change despite the fact that McDermott received the manager of the month award only a few weeks ago.
